Why am I a street photographer?

Because it allows me to be still, which allows me to be present, which allows me to be in the moment. In the moment, I’m free from worry about outcomes, or considering the past. In the moment, an image is captured.   It’s now a fixed point of that moment.

I can return to that point, alone, or with others.  Sometimes our views of it are congruent, sometimes our views overlap, and sometimes our  views are very different. Sometimes my own views are very different.  The image can be a projection of life, or a strict introspection.

I am a street photographer because it allows a moment to be un caught up in the tide of life, and to freeze that moment for everyone else.
